About this deck
Heroes, spells, monsters and loot for your first adventure.
The Adventurer’s Deck is a 99-flashcard vocabulary quest through the language of role-playing games, told as a nine-chapter pulp magazine: the party, their gear, magic, loot, stats, places, monsters, actions, and provisions for the road.
Every flashcard is a magazine cover. On the front, a commissioned ink illustration. On the back, the word with its article and IPA pronunciation, an example sentence with an English translation, a dictionary definition, and audio for both the word and the sentence in alternating male and female voices.
Every noun carries its article, so you learn der, die and das with the word rather than after it. Every word here is real, common RPG vocabulary you’ll meet in games, fantasy novels and shows.
