Is Misu good for complete beginners?

Yes. Choose your language and start with ready-made flashcards for 1,500 common words. Try to remember a word, flip to check its meaning, then tell Misu how you did. Misu plans your reviews, so you can start learning without making or designing any flashcards.

Which languages can I learn with Misu?

Ready-made decks cover the 1,500 most common words in Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Hindi, Russian and German. Japanese, Korean, Russian and Hindi also have decks for learning to read the script, and Chinese has one for pinyin and its tones.

You can create your own flashcards and decks in any language. One-tap automatic flashcard creation works in these ten languages and many more.

How many new words should I learn each day?

Ten new words a day is a good starting point. Review the words you have already learned as well, so they stay familiar. Choose a pace you can keep up with and make time for the reviews Misu schedules.

How does spaced repetition help me remember words?

Spaced repetition spreads your flashcard reviews over time. Misu uses your answers to decide when a word should return. Difficult words come back sooner, while familiar ones get more space between reviews. Each day, you practise the words that are due.

Can I make flashcards from shows, books and conversations?

Yes. Type a word you find, or scan text with Misu, then create its flashcard in one tap. Misu adds the meaning, artwork, example sentences and audio. You can keep the original sentence and edit the result.

Collecting useful words from things you read, watch and hear is often called sentence mining. You choose what interests you; Misu helps you remember the words.

How much can I customise my flashcards?

Almost everything. Change words, example sentences, fonts, colours, artwork and backgrounds. Use generated audio or add your own photos and recordings.

Add, remove, resize and rearrange elements on both sides. You can also create your own flashcard templates and reuse the layouts you like.

How is Misu different from Anki?
